Some of the oldest Crespiello vineyards in Aragon have been recovered by winemaker Pepe Gracia to produce a wine that is highly valued and unique.
“The 2010 Gorys Crespiello from a very old vineyard of the red grape Vidadillo -also known as Crespiello- one of the few remaining. The wine is aged in oak barrels for a long time as he feels the tannins of the fruit need it. The nose combines oak-related and fruit aromas, with some hints of graphite or coal. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with abundant, slightly dusty tannins that combined with the chalky minerality leave a slightly drying sensation. 6,000 bottles produced.”Luis Gutierrez, Oct. 2014.
